This video is proof that manifestation really works. If you truly desire something, believe in it and work for it, you will achieve it. For months, I have been training for the biggest challenge of my life. High rocks, the toughest race in the world. Hold tight as I push past my limits and take on high rocks head on. It's been three months since I started training for the high rocks. I have challenged myself, I have been disciplined in eating, drinking, walking, sleeping. And today I am ready for this challenge. I am scared, but I am confident that I have made the discipline and hard work stronger. And I will be able to complete this challenge today.
Today I have come to participate in the toughest race in the world. I have to complete eight challenges and run eight kilometers. High rocks are becoming famous all over the world. And today I have come to Delhi to compete in this race. We have to run one kilometer, then complete one challenge, then another kilometer and then another challenge. And we have to do this eight times in total. Today my goal is to complete this race by the end of the year, in the shortest time possible. And yes, there are penalties as well. So we have to fix everything, otherwise they can disqualify us. I am doing this race with my friend Achal. And Achal is my go-to fitness partner.
We have done Jiu Jitsu, boxing, racing, everything before this. We have only 15 minutes left before the race starts. I am noticing that the entire fitness community of Delhi has come here. And everyone is looking very fit. My tension is increasing. Because last night my sleep was not well fulfilled. I am in this tension that how will everything be managed. I know that this is going to be very difficult and stressful for me. And that's the reason I applied for this race. I can't keep myself in a box. And I want to continuously evolve and grow. I prayed with all my heart and went to the starting point. Let's go, the race begins. I and Achal started running with all our heart and soul.
And behind this excitement, my biggest belief is that, Don't give up Divya, enjoy today. Whether you have prepared or not. Now you are inside the ring. Just live. These judges are very strict here. And they have installed a device to track time and penalties in our feet. And with this, our first kilometer is complete. And it's time for the first challenge. Let's go, see what we can do. We run quickly at station 1. Where 1000 meters of skiing is to be done. I start doing it with all the energy. Back to back. We can also exchange our positions. But I have got the energy. After around 600 meters, I gave it to Achal. Back to running again.
I need running time to recover before the second challenge starts. Divya, let's go, let's run. Time is passing by. And all these people seem to have practiced for 6 months. How fast are these people? 15 minutes have passed. And so far, only our first challenge is complete. We have to speed up or we will be left behind. We have to push 100 kgs for 50 meters. These doubles on my side seem to be pushing 5 kgs. How are they going so fast? And here I was motivated by my Noor and Zahan. They made handmade posters and brought them. By giving them Go Mama Go, all my body fatigue is over. Let's go, let's race again.
We have got the speed fast. And we are running in a slow and fast batch. And I think it's helping. The body is all sweaty at this point. And we have 6 more challenges left. Next challenge, challenge 3. It's sled pull. This time we have to pull 100 kgs, not push. Archul starts. We have come to understand the pace of the game. We need to work like a lion here. At times we have to complete our task aggressively. And at times we have to recover our body. This is the most difficult task so far. It feels like not just your body but even your soul is pulling these 100 kgs. And what's the next task?
Burpees. Let's go, let's go. Do not lose hope Divya. I thought it would be easy. But oh my god, seeing this 100 meter burpee track, my soul is shaking. Archul starts strong. She is flying. And I was just praying that I wouldn't embarrass myself at her pace. When it was my turn, my body was already sending me signals. Are you sure Divya? But one thing I have learnt. When the body wants to stop, the mind needs to speak louder. I just kept telling myself, push, jump, land, repeat. Push, jump, land, repeat. A burpee went wrong in the middle. The judge warned me. If I had been punished, I would have been added 5 more meters.
This is not a joke. Somehow we finished those burpees. But my legs feel they have run a marathon already. Back to running. We run with a single sip of water. And I think the real test of the race is about to start. Next station, rowing machine. I went in the first 500 meters. And then Archul took over. We were moving ahead with a silent understanding. If you get tired, I am ready. By this time, both the back and thighs were burning. The rowing was going on, but the mind was saying only one thing. Only 3 more to go. We completed it in a decent time. No penalties. And until now, it felt like we were going right.
We might finish strong and come first. Back to running. While coming here, I saw half the people slow down. They just couldn't do it anymore. And they just wanted to complete somehow. Because of our coordination, I had energy left. So we reached the next station quickly. Next challenge, farmer's carry. Lift 2 dumbbells of 16 kg and walk 200 meters. When we lifted the dumbbells, we understood how much the farmers actually work. My grip was literally about to drop halfway. Archul's hands were also slippery because of the sweat. But by now, our strategy was ready. Short around, more switches. We saw in the eyes of the judges, and ego activated. We survived it. Breathe, walk, run again.
Challenge 7, lunges with sandbag. Now comes the most difficult task. 100 meters walking lunges. That too with a 20 kg sandbag. By this point, the body was almost shutting down. But what to do? The most dangerous rule of the race was in this challenge. Once the sandbag dropped, 5 meters penalty. Twice, direct disqualification. I started slowly. With full effort, I slowed down but consistent. Mindset was simple. One more step. And one more step. Then one more. In the middle, the sandbag slipped a little. And I was barely saved from the penalty. I handled it. And slowly moved forward. The question of bodily fitness was not left here. Because we had discharged it to 6 stations.
Now only mental toughness was going to cross us 7th and 8th stations. I gave the sandbag slowly. And completed the 7th challenge and ran for the last round. Oh my god, I wanted to finish this race so badly now. And now, final boss level. Wall balls. Pick up a 6 kg ball. Squat and throw 3 meters above the target. Total 100 reps. I start. 15 reps. Legs were almost dead. Archill takes over. Fights through 20 more. From behind, I hear Rubel's voice. Divya, just do 10 more. Then 10 more. Then 5 more. While going through this sequence, we reached 90. I close my eyes. Just gave the command to the body. Finish it. The last ball touches the target.
And we run towards the finish line. Yes, we did it. We actually crossed the finish line. I stopped. There was a slight tear in my eyes. But my breath was burning so fast that I couldn't even speak. At that moment, only one thought came to my mind. Divya, you didn't just finish a race. You left your doubts behind. Archill and I looked at each other and hugged each other without saying anything. The last wall ball that I threw, my entire journey was hidden in it. All the gym sessions, the tiring days, the self doubt moments, all went in the air with that ball. As soon as I crossed the finish line red tape, everything seemed slow motion for a second.
The background noise, people's applause, announcement systems, you did it, everything. And I realized, I am not an athlete. I am not qualifying for the Olympics. But I showed up. I ran with full body pain. I fell, I got up, then fell, then got up. This race was not just a test of endurance. It was also a test of my emotional resilience. When something seems impossible, your inner voice says, You can do one more step. From today, I am not completing just a fitness challenge. I am leaving behind a version of Divya, which was just a thought. And instead, I am welcoming a new Divya, which takes action. Next time, I will come with more training, more strategy.
But this race, this race has won my soul.
