This is toxic parenting!

Strict parents do not raise honest kids, they raise good liars. When every mistake is blamed, the child learns to hide the truth. They start hiding their feelings, their thoughts, even their wins, just toward judgement. Their intention is discipline, but the effect is distance. Love and fear cannot work together. Only when the child feels safe, they will speak the truth. Strictness does not build character, it only builds masks.
