God created the universe because it's God masterbating. There is an entity that is all-knowing, omnipresent, it has everything, all the answers, it is completely satisfied, it doesn't need to do anything. That's how most religions talk about God. No beginning, no end, all the qualities are there. Why does this being need to do anything? So it's just play.
