Episode: Shri Krishna's Secret Method of Manifesting Success
About Swami Mukundananda
Okay so I have to tell you about this conversation.
Swami Mukundananda was born in 1960 and got into IIT Delhi for engineering, then IIM Calcutta for an MBA—literally the top 1% of India's educational ladder. He was weeks into a high-paying corporate job at a multinational when something shifted. He walked away. He didn't write a resignation email full of doubt. He simply chose a different life. Since then, he's founded Jagadguru Kripaluji Yog (JKYog), conducts life transformation programs in 100+ cities globally, is a bestselling author including an acclaimed Bhagavad Gita commentary, and has amassed 5+ million followers globally. He trained under Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj and now teaches Bhakti yoga to both the spiritually curious and those seeking ancient wisdom for modern life.
He had the entire conventional success path laid out in front of him. And he walked away from it for spiritual life. But here's the thing—he doesn't sound like someone who gave up. He sounds like someone who knew exactly what he was choosing.
I brought him on because you're all feeling this fake choice: you can either be ambitious or spiritual, successful or meaningful, engaged in the world or rooted in consciousness. He completely dissolved that false binary. You can be ambitious and unattached, successful and non-possessive, fully engaged and deeply conscious. All at the same time.
What blew my mind: his concept of dharma for modern life. He explained it as fulfilling your professional duties with excellence and integrity while staying unattached to results. That's not apathy—that's freedom. It's the difference between working hard because you care and working hard because you're terrified of failure. The highest form of spiritual life isn't withdrawing from the world. It's full, conscious engagement with it. That perspective changes everything.
Here's why you need this: you're at an age where you're building careers, chasing ambitions, trying to figure out what success actually looks like. Swami shows you that meaning doesn't happen somewhere else. It happens in how you show up to the work you're already doing. He bridges ancient philosophy and modern thinking so that the Bhagavad Gita actually speaks to your life—decision-making, desire, effort versus results.
You don't have to choose between the life you're building and the spiritual growth you're seeking. They're the same path, just traveled with different consciousness. This one changed something in me. I hope it does the same for you. — Love, Divya
